Booking Terms and Conditions

§ 1 General

Your booking and access to our sanctuary experiences are expressly conditioned on your acceptance of these terms and conditions. These terms apply to all observation visits, small-group immersions, and complimentary hotel transfers booked directly via this site.

§ 2 Privacy & Data Protection

Personal information collected during booking (such as your name, email, phone number, and pickup location) is used solely to coordinate your visit and confirm transfer logistics. We strictly maintain your privacy and never sell or distribute your details to unauthorized third parties. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.

§ 3 Booking Terms & Responsibilities

• The lead traveler making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to accept these terms on behalf of all party members listed in the reservation.
• All ticket confirmations and pickup instructions will be communicated to the lead traveler via the provided email address or WhatsApp contact.
• Visitors are responsible for the personal care and safekeeping of all belongings, cameras, and gear during their sanctuary visit. Phuket Elephant Care is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items.
• Basic visitor accident insurance is included during your stay at the sanctuary. However, guests are strongly encouraged to carry comprehensive personal travel insurance covering unexpected illness, medical emergencies, or trip disruptions.

§ 4 Sanctuary Conduct & 100% Observe-Only Policy

Phuket Elephant Care Sakhu operates as a 100% Observe-Only sanctuary dedicated to animal welfare and ethical tourism. By booking, you agree to comply with our sanctuary code of conduct:

• No Forced Interaction: Direct touching, riding, or mud-bathing with elephants is strictly prohibited under any circumstances.
• Canopy Walkway Viewing: Observation takes place from safe, elevated wooden walkways overlooking natural foraging grounds and water features.
• Zero Drone Policy: Flying personal drones or unmanned aerial vehicles on sanctuary premises is strictly banned to prevent distressing the elephant herd.
• Respectful Behavior: Guests are required to follow guide instructions at all times, maintain quiet and respectful voices around animals, and refrain from feeding unauthorized foods.

§ 5 Pricing & Online Payment

• All prices are listed in Thai Baht (THB) and include applicable local taxes and complimentary round-trip hotel transfers within designated Phuket service zones.
• Full advance payment is required to confirm your reservation. Payment can be completed online securely via Credit Card (VISA/Mastercard through Omise) or PayPal.
• In exceptional cases, cash payment on arrival may be permitted if pre-arranged and reconfirmed with our office team at least 3 days prior to your visit date.
• Digital confirmation vouchers displayed on your smartphone are accepted as proof of purchase at reception.

§ 6 Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• Cancellation by Visitor: You may cancel or reschedule your visit free of charge by providing written notice via email to observe@phuketelephant.care at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled program starting time.
• Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to departure, or non-arrival (no-shows), are strictly non-refundable.
• Medical Exceptions: In cases of sudden illness or medical emergency preventing travel, presenting an official medical certificate issued by a licensed Thai doctor or clinic will allow you to reschedule your visit to a future date free of charge.
• Severe Weather Policy: Sanctuary visits operate in normal rain conditions. In the rare event of severe weather or official safety alerts causing tour cancellation by sanctuary management, guests will be offered a 100% full refund or free date change.
